 I am letting my bridesmaids pick there own dress.  I'm telling them all that I want it to be long and black, then they get to pick which one looks best on them.  They are all very different women, with different body styles, so to stick them all in the same dress seems silly.

A friend of mine was getting married and was concerned about the different sizes of all the bridesmaids. She decided that she would buy all the material, and let them pick the style of dress they want. This way they all are similar having the same color and material but they can wear a style of dress that looks the best on them. Added bonus: they are more likely to wear it after because they picked out their own personal style.

For a unique party favor my groom and I are giving out lottery tickets. Only $1 each.. I will have a note in the program stating the tickets were chosen because we are so lucky to have our family and friends with us on our wedding day.
I will also add a line that all winnings will need to be split with the bride and groom!

New Wedding Trends for 2011-2012

So what is the new trend for 2011 and 2012?  

Brides are choosing centerpieces that are in the same color tones, but of different sizes. They are also changing the shape of the tables, mixing round with square. These trends give the reception tables a more interesting look and a less "coordinated" feel. Unique vase fillers include glass marbles, sea glass shells, acrylic ice, water absorbing crystals/beads, and fresh fruits such as lemons and limes.
